What to do in winter

In the Alta Valtellina area there are 220 km of slopes in the ski areas of Bormio, Livigno, Santa Caterina and San Colombano, which allow the practice of alpine skiing at high, low and medium level of difficulty.  https://www.bormioski.eu/

For snowboarders, the snow parks of Bormio and Livigno are the perfect fit.

For lovers of Nordic skiing, an additional 80 km of snow-covered slopes in the woods of Isolaccia, Santa Caterina, Bormio and Livigno, allow you to spend peaceful hours in the open air.

Furthermore, for cross-country skiing lovers, a fascinating route with 2-3-5-8-10-15 km rings is available in the centuries-old forests of S. Caterina.

Non-skiers can take the pleasure of a walk in the village or along the paths of the Stelvio National Park, perhaps with “ciaspole” (snowshoes).

The thermal baths of Bormio with three different spas – Bormio Terme, Bagni Vecchi and Bagni Nuovi – welcome you for a healthy and relaxing holiday.

What to do in the summer

In summer, there are numerous walking tours on the nearby and spectacular mountains of Tresero, Cevedale, Cima Piazzi and Zebrù and the less demanding routes on Reit, Vallecetta, Val di Rezzalo, Val Viola and Monte Scale.

The Paluaccio di Oga nature reserve, near Fort Venini, can also be visited in the summer.

For cycling enthusiasts there are many climbs to reach the Alpine passes such as the Stelvio Pass. Moreover there are multiple marked itineraries and paths for mountain bike lovers. For those who love skiing, skiing on the Stelvio glacier cannot be missed https://passostelvio.eu/

For lovers of silence and trekking we recommend the Stelvio National Park, where many animals live, including chamoises, deer, ibex and eagles. http://www.stelviopark.it/

Bormio Golf is only 2 km away: it is a 9-hole golf course. For info: https://www.bormiogolf.it/

For those who prefer to rest in the warmth of the natural thermal waters of Bagni Vecchi (already used in the fifteenth century) and Bagni Nuovi (opened in the nineteenth century), it is advisable to also use the brand new thermal center of Bormio Terme, just two km away from our b&b; there is a well-equipped spa treatment department, a new wellness center and an area entirely dedicated to children and families with a water slide and outdoor swimming pools.

Don’t miss a trip to Livigno

An increasingly established tourist place, just over half an hour from Bormio, Livigno is known for being an extra-customs area: in the numerous shops you can find basically everything: from the great fashion brands to the most prestigious watches, from the most refined liqueurs to the most sought-after wines, from photographic equipment to the most recent electronic devices. All at advantageous prices.
But if the notoriety is due to the “duty free area”, Livigno today is also a place full of attractions from many other points of view: renowned restaurants, cycle paths, mountain bike circuit just to mention a few.
In winter, it is a true paradise: wide and well served cross-country trails, car ice track, snowmobile circuit for hire etc. There are numerous meeting places and night clubs.
